When did you join The Property Centre?
I joined The Property Centre as a Property Manager in April 2014.
Three words that describe you best?
Level-headed, hardworking & loyal.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Making sure my team and I carry out our jobs to the best of our abilities whilst maintaining a positive and happy outlook. I started my career in Property Management back in 2002, working as a Trainee Property Manager in London, and due to the nature of the Capital’s rental market, I encountered lots of different scenarios which have really helped me since, dealing with every kind of situation. I enjoy being able to draw on my experience and resolving matters as effectively as possible.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve had to deal with?
I once carried out a property visit and found the bathroom door wide open and the tenant asleep in the bath!
Favourite way to spend your weekend?
Having moved back to Gloucestershire, I enjoy living a quiet life in the country and I spend my spare time gardening with a lot of help on the vegetable patch from my very special retired ex-caged hens that we adopted from The British Hen Welfare Trust.
Perfect place to eat locally?
I am very lucky to be married to a chef – albeit unlucky for my waistline! We really enjoy sourcing local produce and using ingredients from our vegetable patch to cook at home, whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two.
What's your top tip for landlords?
Simply ask yourself if you’d be happy to live in the property as you’re presenting it to the tenant. If a tenant feels comfortable and able to make a property their home, they’re more inclined to take pride in it and remain in it longer term.
If you have a property available to let we can help you find the right tenant. Call us on 01452 888060 to discuss your requirements with Tracey and her team or Register as a Landlord with us today.
