Here's our 9 top tips for keeping your home healthy and happy in 2021
Give everywhere a good clean
Dust off the winter cobwebs, clean windows, open them and let in some fresh air. Spring is not far away.
Clean your cupboards and fridge
Get into the habit of always cleaning your fridge before you go food shopping – that way you can take stock of what you’ve got and you’re less likely to re-buy and end up wasting. Mentally, it’s a more relaxing experience to open a clean, well-organised cupboard and fridge than a cluttered, messy one and it looks better too.
Eco cleaning products
Make the switch to eco-friendly non-toxic cleaning products – better for our health as well as better for the environment.
Vacuum regularly
Vacuum and sweep every few days to keep your floor looking fresh and crumb-free.
Invest in a juicer
Not only does fresh juice taste amazing, but you can also experiment with flavours and create new ones of your own. It’s a great way of using up fruit and veg which may otherwise have been thrown out.
Grow your own herbs
Herbs are fun to grow (especially if you’ve got kids) and a great way to bring a bit of nature indoors.
House plants
Not only do plants add texture to a room, but they’re great air purifiers too – spider plants, peace lily, aloe vera and scented plants, like hyacinths and narcissi, perfume your home far better than any artificial sprays.
Declutter your bedroom and update your bedding
We spend up to 1/3 of our lives asleep so buying new comfortable bedding is a good investment and helps ensure we get the best night’s rest possible.
Create at least one calm space in your home
It doesn’t have to be big, a calm space could be just a corner of a room, but away from other distractions, with nice lighting, comfortable seating, pictures you like, cosy throws or cushions - things that bring you joy.

Let there be light
As well as making the most of natural light, use lamps to create a softer look.
