The half term is fast approaching and with Halloween following closely behind we have prepared some activities to keep the kids (and adults) occupied this October! Whether you’re a Halloween fanatic or simply an autumn lover, here are 5 things you can do over the half-term break.
1) Pumpkin Picking – Great for the kids and adults, pumpkin patches are a great way to begin getting into the Halloween spirit. You can also support local businesses by visiting your local farm with a patch. Here are three farms local to Worcestershire: Clive's Fruit Farm, Top Barn Farm (recommended by Joshua in our St. John’s Worcester office) and Bells Farm Shop.
2) Murder Mystery in Malvern – If you’re looking for something a little more mysterious, then the Murder Mystery Evening in Malvern could be a great option for you. Solve the case of Earl George Sweet as his past begins to catch up with him. Book your place here
3) Ghost Tours of The Commandery – Are you a history lover? Explore one of Worcester’s oldest and most haunted buildings by torchlight as you learn about the macabre side of Worcester. Make sure your book in advance here
4) A sleepover at The Nunnery - Once home to 250 nuns, this convent was abandoned decades ago and is hosting a brand new ghost hunt! Stay overnight at the chapel and experience the hauntings for yourself. Book your tickets
5) Cook with pumpkins – Use those pumpkins you collected with a range of recipes, including frozen pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin biriyani. See the recipes here
